Peer Review Process
Reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of scholarly publishing. At United Journal of Chemistry (UJC), we use a double-blind peer review system, which means both the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process. This ensures an unbiased evaluation where neither party knows the other’s identity.
Importance of Peer Review
Peer review serves to:
-
Validate research quality and originality
-
Establish a reliable method for evaluating scientific work
-
Enhance collaboration and networking within the research community
Despite some criticisms, peer review remains the most widely accepted method for research validation.
Review Timeline and Submission Guidelines
-
The review process typically takes 1 to 3 weeks from the date of submission.
-
Authors are strongly advised not to submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously. Please wait for the review outcome before submitting elsewhere.
-
UJC is committed to a prompt and thorough evaluation to ensure timely publication of accepted articles.

-
Authors will be informed if further review is required.
-
Final publication decisions rest with the Editors-in-Chief based on reviewers’ reports.
-
Authors of manuscripts not accepted will be notified promptly.
-
Manuscripts outside the scope of the journal will not be considered for review.

-
In cases of confirmed plagiarism beyond acceptable limits, the journal will notify the author’s affiliated institution and funding agencies if applicable.
