Title

  • The title should be concise yet informative, accurately reflecting the content of the paper.

Author Information

  • The title page must include a list of all authors and their full affiliations.

  • Authors’ names should be consistent across all publications for indexing purposes.

  • Contact details such as technical titles, fax numbers, emails, and phone numbers should also be provided.

Abstract

  • Abstracts must be no longer than 500 words.

  • They should be clear, informative, and free of citations or descriptive language.

  • Include key findings, major conclusions, and quantitative results where applicable.

  • The abstract, alongside the title, will serve as the primary index for the paper’s content.

Mathematics

  • Use italic for variables and bold italic for vectors.

  • Differentiate clearly between uppercase and lowercase letters where confusion may arise.

  • Use fractional exponents instead of root signs.

  • Introduce additional symbols if necessary to avoid overly complex expressions.

  • Use slashes (/) to denote fractions wherever possible.

  • Avoid lengthy mathematical derivations readily available elsewhere.

Notation

  • Notation should be clear, legible, compact, and follow standard conventions.

  • Explain all non-standard symbols, including subscripts and superscripts.

  • Physical and mathematical variables: italic.

  • Vectors: boldface.

  • Units, abbreviations, and special functions: upright font.

  • Include notes explaining any special symbols.

Figures

  • Submit original high-contrast figures (preferably *.tif) on separate sheets, clearly numbered.

  • Image widths: 6.5 cm (one column), 13.5 cm (two columns), maximum 15 cm (full page).

  • Main lines: ~0.3 mm; auxiliary lines: ~0.15 mm.

  • Notations must be consistent with the text and font size between 8–10 pt.

  • Resolution: at least 1200 dpi for line art and graphs; 300 dpi for photos (600 dpi if text or line art included). Use LZW compression.

  • Indicate figure placement within the text with appropriately sized boxes.

  • Provide a caption for each figure.

Tables

  • Number tables consecutively as they appear in the text.

  • Place each table on a separate sheet with a brief, clear title above.

  • Include detailed descriptions or footnotes below the table body.

References

  • Cite only published works.

  • Number references consecutively in order of first citation.

  • Use superscript numbers in square brackets for in-text citations.

  • Provide full details for all references, including all authors and article titles.

Example:
F. Huang, N.R. Tao, L. Lu, Effects of Strain Rate and Deformation Temperature on Microstructures and Hardness in Plastically Deformed Pure Aluminum, J. Mater. Sci. Technol. 27 (2011) 1–7.

Proofs

  • Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection within three months.

  • Revised manuscripts should be submitted within one month of receiving reviewers’ comments.

  • Final electronic versions must accompany revisions.

  • Proofs will be sent for author approval and should be returned within 48 hours to avoid delays.
