The power conversion was investigated by generating voltage–current plots for each system using N-methyl phenothiazine as the active photoagent, prepared in the Lα phase of the liquid crystal. The photogalvanic cell produced measurable photopotential, photocurrent, and power, with a calculated conversion efficiency of 27.305%. A mechanism was proposed for power generation using industrial runoff or other wastewater sources as electrochemical fuel, providing an environmentally friendly and low-cost approach to wastewater management
