Chromium complexes with benzoic acid (Cr/Hben/T), salicylic acid (Cr/H₂sal/T/1 and Cr/H₂sal/T/2), and phthalic acid (Cr/H₂pht/T) were synthesized using chromium trioxide and 2-methyl-2-butanol (tertiary amyl alcohol). The complexes were characterized by DSC, which indicated that they undergo decomposition around 300 °C, accompanied by a rapid release of energy. Analysis of the kinetic parameters and reaction enthalpy revealed that these complexes possess low activation energies and high heats of decomposition.
