Salicylic acid (SA) exhibits limited water solubility, restricting its bioavailability. To overcome this, we synthesized a water-soluble phosphorodiamidate prodrug of SA. The prodrug was characterized using NMR, FTIR, HPLC, and MS. Solubility, stability, and enzymatic hydrolysis studies were conducted. The prodrug showed significantly improved solubility and controlled release of SA upon enzymatic hydrolysis, indicating potential for enhanced therapeutic efficacy.
