Abstract for Post: Extraction of Zinc from Nitrate Medium Using 3-Methyl-Quinoxaline-2-Thione via Liquid-Liquid Extraction

The extraction of metals from aqueous media is an essential process in hydrometallurgy and environmental remediation. Zinc extraction, particularly from nitrate media, is a subject of significant interest due to its industrial relevance. This review focuses on the extraction of zinc from nitrate medium using 3-methyl-quinoxaline-2-thione (3-MQ2T) as the extractant via liquid-liquid extraction (LLE). The key aspects of the extraction process, including the chemical mechanisms, influencing factors, and optimization strategies, are discussed.
